Prospective Undergraduate Students

Are the research questions that we ask of interest to you? Are you interested in gaining research experience? We typically take on a select number of new undergraduates each fall and spring semester as a part of PSYCH-4998. The experience is an opportunity for you to contribute to ongoing research projects, and develop skills that are used in research in the process (stimulus preparation, data analysis, computer programming, scientific writing).

Qualifications:

  • GPA of 3.4 or above
  • Have completed or are currently completing PSYCH-2220 (Data Analysis) and PSYCH-2300 (Research Methods)
  • Strong, independent problem-solving skills
  • Responsible and reliable
  • An interest in language

Research assistants must commit to working at least two semesters in the lab and typically register for 2 credits of PSYCH-4998 each semester, translating to 6 hours of work per week in the lab.

To inquire about openings for research assistants in upcoming semesters, please contact Heather Daly.
